Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Pundit Technologies (CAC 2580834), No. 9A Drive 6, Prince and Prince Estate, Apo, FCT Abuja, Nigeria ("PunditGo", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use the PunditGo app, the PunditGo Rider app, our website, web console, USSD code, WhatsApp or Telegram service (together, the "Platform").
By creating an account, tapping "I agree", replying to accept on USSD/WhatsApp/Telegram, or using the Platform, you accept these terms. Electronic acceptance is binding under the Evidence Act 2011 (as amended). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Some parts of the Platform have extra terms that you accept when you use them: the Privacy Policy, Rider & Driver Agreement, Merchant Agreement, Fleet Owner Agreement, Event Host Agreement, Partner Agreement, Business Account Terms, School Transport Terms, Bills Payment Terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Community Guidelines. If they conflict with these terms, the more specific document applies to that service.
1. What PunditGo is
- PunditGo is a technology platform. It connects customers with independent riders and drivers ("Providers"), restaurants and shops ("Merchants"), fleet owners and schools, and lets them agree, track, pay for and resolve jobs such as food and grocery delivery, package delivery, rides, cargo, intercity trips and school transport. It also lets people buy and sell items ("Buy & sell"), find, rent and buy property ("Homes"), buy event tickets ("Tickets"), buy farm inputs and sell produce, buy livestock, book clinics and labs, pay school fees, hire artisans, order gas and water, give to charities and buy solar systems on instalments.
- Providers are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. Merchants prepare and sell their own goods. We are not a transport operator, carrier, restaurant or shop, but we take responsibility for running the Platform with reasonable care and skill, and for the obligations we accept in these terms.
- Some services are only available in some areas or at some times. We may add, change, pause or stop a service, a vehicle type or an area at any time.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to open an account. Children may only use the Platform through a parent or guardian (for example, school transport set up by a parent).
- Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your phone number. Keep your phone and codes secure. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it happened because of our failure. Tell us at once at pundittechnology@gmail.com if you think someone else is using it.
- Give us true, current information. We may ask you to verify your identity, especially for Providers, Merchants, fleet owners, businesses and higher-value transactions.
- One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise (for example, a business account).
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are fixed before you book. The app shows the price, made up of the fare (by distance, time and vehicle), any goods, service fees and any extras you choose. Riders and drivers cannot change it. The price can only change for reasons shown to you during the job: approved waiting time beyond the free minutes, stops or route changes you ask for, or extras approved in the app. Disagreements go through support, not cash negotiations.
- Name your price. For some services you may offer your own fare within the limits shown. Drivers accept it or send their own price, and you choose. The price you agree is the fixed price for that trip, in the same way as above. It is paid in cash or from your wallet, and promo codes do not apply to it.
- Ways to pay: cash to the Provider, card, bank transfer, USSD or wallet, through licensed payment partners (such as Paystack), or a business account. We do not store your full card details.
- Topping up by direct bank transfer. Where it is offered, you can also top up your wallet by transferring to PunditGo's bank account shown in the app, writing the code we give you in the transfer remark (narration) and uploading the receipt. We credit your wallet with the amount that actually reaches our account, automatically when our bank's record shows your code, or after our finance team checks it. A receipt on its own is not proof that money arrived. Codes expire after the time shown; a transfer that arrives later with the code is still credited, and one we cannot match is returned to the sending account after checks. Sending a false or altered receipt is fraud and will be reported.
- Cash: pay the exact amount shown in the app. Do not pay more, and do not agree side payments. Payments made outside the Platform are not protected by PunditGo.
- Wallet: the PunditGo wallet records money you have paid in advance and refunds you are owed, to spend on the Platform. It is not a bank account or deposit, does not earn interest, and cannot be transferred to other users. Unused balances can be refunded to your bank account on request, after identity checks and less any amounts you owe us. Promotional credit (referral and welcome bonuses, and points turned into credit) can only be spent on the Platform and is never paid out.
- Delivery and pickup codes prove that a job was handed over. Only give your delivery code to the rider once you have received your order. Sharing it is confirmation that you received the goods.
- Sending to someone else. When you send a package to another person, we text them the delivery code when the rider collects it; they can also get it by dialling our USSD code from the number you gave, and you or the rider can send it again. If they still cannot give the code, the rider may hand it over to them with a photo and the name of the person receiving it. We tell you and them straight away, and check every such delivery: report a problem at once if it was not received.
- Amounts you owe (for example, unpaid cash orders or cancellation fees) may be taken from your wallet or added to your next order, and may limit how you can pay until settled.
3A. Rewards, promotions and referrals
- Points and promo codes are a free extra, not part of the price. We may change, pause or end them, or their rules, with notice in the app; points and credit already earned stay yours unless they were gained in breach of these Terms.
- Referrals: you can invite people who are new to PunditGo with your code or link. When an invited friend joins with your code (or adds it within the time shown in the app, before their first order) and completes a first order of at least the minimum shown in the app within the time shown, you and the friend each receive the bonus shown in the app at that time, as wallet credit and points.
- Bonuses are paid once per new customer, for real people with their own phone. They are not paid for your own accounts, accounts that share a phone with yours, orders that are cancelled, refunded or disputed in your favour, or business account trips. There is a limit on paid referrals per person every 30 days, shown in the app.
- Do not post your code where it pretends to be an official PunditGo offer, send spam, or pay people to sign up. We may hold a bonus while we check it, and cancel bonuses (and take back credit not yet spent) gained by breaking these rules, and may suspend accounts that abuse them (section 9).
- Referral bonuses are promotional credit (section 3): spend them on any order; they cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when you can cancel for free, when a cancellation fee applies, and how refunds work. Nothing in it takes away your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
5. Things you must not do
You must not use the Platform to:
- send, carry or order anything illegal or dangerous, including those listed in our Community Guidelines (for example drugs, weapons, fuel, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, wildlife products, or currency in large amounts);
- lie about what you are sending, its weight or value, or who you are;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, or harm a Provider, Merchant, customer, staff member or anyone else;
- arrange to pay or be paid outside the Platform for a job, item, property or ticket found on the Platform;
- post or send phone numbers, email addresses, bank account numbers, links, social media handles or other contact details in listings or chats on Buy & sell or Homes, or ask anyone to move a conversation or payment off the Platform (section 7F);
- create fake orders, accounts, ratings, reviews or referrals, or abuse promotions;
- record or photograph others without their consent, except where the Platform itself records for safety as explained in our Privacy Policy;
- interfere with, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the Platform, or access it other than through our apps and published interfaces; or
- break any law, including the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015 (as amended).
We may refuse, cancel or report a job that appears to break these rules, and cooperate with lawful requests from the police and regulators.
6. Safety
- Check that the vehicle and rider match the app (photo, plate number and QR sticker) before boarding or handing over anything. Don't get in if they don't match.
- Wear a helmet on motorcycle rides where one is provided, use seat belts where fitted, and follow the law and the rider's reasonable safety instructions.
- Use the in-app emergency and support options if something goes wrong. In an emergency, call the police or emergency services first (112).
- Calls between customers and riders go through masked numbers so neither sees the other's number.
7. Items you send and deliveries
- Describe items honestly and pack them properly. You are responsible for items that are prohibited, badly packed, or wrongly described.
- Unless a different amount is shown in the app and accepted for that job (for example, a declared value with cover for cargo), the most PunditGo will pay for an item lost or damaged while in a Provider's care is the lower of its actual value and ₦50,000. Report loss or damage within 24 hours of the job ending, with any photos.
- For food and groceries, the Merchant is responsible for the quality, safety, allergens, quantities and description of what it sells. Tell us about problems in the app so we can refund or redeliver where appropriate.
- Several drop-offs. You can send to up to the number of drop-offs shown in the app in one booking. The price includes each extra drop-off and is fixed before you book. Each recipient gets their own delivery code by SMS and the rider completes each drop-off only with it (you can see every code in the app). If a drop-off cannot be delivered, you are told at once; arranging another attempt or the item's return may cost extra.
- Cash on delivery. You may ask the rider to collect an amount from a recipient for you (up to the limit shown). You are the seller and responsible for what you sell and for the amount you ask for; PunditGo only collects it on your behalf as your agent. A handling fee, shown before you book, is added to the price. The cash is added to My earnings as each drop-off is delivered and you can withdraw it to your bank account. If a recipient refuses to pay, the item is not handed over and you are told. Never use cash on delivery for goods that are prohibited (section 5).
- Return trips and booking ahead. A return trip brings the rider back to you after the drop-offs; its price is shown before you book, and you give the rider your return code to finish. You can book a delivery for a later time (up to the period shown); a rider is found shortly before it.
- Favourite riders. After a completed job you can add the rider to your favourites; when you choose it, they are offered your next deliveries first if they are nearby and online. They can still decline.
7A. Scheduled routes (work commute and school transport)
Some services run on a fixed route and timetable, such as staff commute routes to workplaces and school bus routes. For these services:
- Times are targets, not guarantees. Pickup, drop-off, arrival and departure times shown in the app are planned times. Traffic, weather, road closures, checkpoints, fuel scarcity, security situations, breakdowns and other riders boarding can make a trip earlier or later than planned. Plan your day with this in mind.
- Be at your stop on time. Be at your stop at least 5 minutes before your pickup time. The driver waits up to the waiting time shown for the route (usually 3 minutes) and then leaves so other riders are not made late. A trip you miss because you were not at the stop, or that you skip, is not refunded.
- Lateness is not compensated. PunditGo does not pay compensation, refunds or costs (for example, lost work time, queries from an employer, or another fare) because a trip arrived or departed later or earlier than planned. Please do not open disputes, chargebacks or complaints only because a trip was late. Report problems in the app so we can improve the route.
- Cancelled trips are refunded. If we cancel a trip, or it does not run at all, the value of that trip goes back to your wallet automatically. We will tell you as early as we can.
- Serious, repeated delays. If trips on your route arrive more than 30 minutes after the planned time on three or more days in one pass period, for reasons within our control, you may cancel your pass and receive a refund of the unused days. This is your remedy for delays.
- Passes are for the holder only, for the route and stop chosen, and for the dates shown. Show your pass QR to the driver when you board. Cancelling a pass refunds the unused days from the next day; days already started, missed or skipped are not refunded.
- Your safety comes first. Drivers will not speed, overload the vehicle or take unsafe roads to make up time, and may change the route for safety.
- Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 that cannot be excluded, or our responsibility for harm caused by our negligence.
7B. Medicines and pharmacies
- Medicines are sold and dispensed by the licensed pharmacy you order from, not by PunditGo. PunditGo delivers them and does not give medical advice. In an emergency call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
- Prescription-only medicines need a valid prescription for the named patient. Upload a clear photo when you order; the pharmacist checks it before accepting and may refuse it, in which case you are refunded in full. Uploading a false or altered prescription is a criminal offence and closes your account.
- Controlled drugs are never sold on PunditGo. Some products have a minimum age, which the rider may check with ID at delivery.
- Medicines are delivered sealed. Check the seal and the label when you receive them; do not accept a bag that has been opened.
- Medicines cannot be returned once delivered. If what you receive is wrong, damaged, expired or not as described, report it in the app within 24 hours with photos and you will be refunded or the order replaced.
7C. Shared rides (co-ride and shared intercity seats)
- What it is. A co-ride is a seat in the car of a driver who is already making that trip, usually to work; the price only shares the cost of the journey and is capped per kilometre. A shared intercity trip is a car between towns sold seat by seat, so several people share the cost. In both, the driver is a verified PunditGo driver and the vehicle is verified.
- Travel requests. You can post a trip you need (from, to, day, seats). Verified drivers going that way may offer you a seat on a trip, picking you up on the way. Nothing is booked or paid until you accept an offer; accepting books the seat on that trip under the rules below. A posted request is shown to drivers with your first name and the start area, never your phone number.
- Seats. A car never carries more people than its seats or the limit in the regulations for that vehicle. You can see how many seats are booked and how many are left before you book.
- Paying. You pay when you book, from your wallet. PunditGo holds the fare until the trip ends, then pays the driver. You will not be asked for cash.
- Your ticket. Get in only after checking the driver, car and plate in the app, and let the driver scan your ticket (or read your 4-digit code). Do not get into a car that doesn't match.
- Cancelling. You can cancel free of charge until the time shown in the app before departure (2 hours unless stated). After that the fare is not refunded, because the seat was held for you. If you are not at your pickup point and the driver has waited at least 5 minutes after the pickup time, you are a no-show and the fare is not refunded.
- When the driver cancels or doesn't come. If the driver cancels, PunditGo cancels the trip, or the trip is not started within an hour of departure, you get the full fare back automatically. If the driver ends the trip without checking you in, you are refunded.
- Times. Pickup and arrival times are planned times; section 7A on lateness applies.
- Women-only rides. Some rides are for women only. Saying in your profile that you are a woman when you are not, to book one, closes your account.
- Safety. Use SOS in the app if anything feels wrong; our safety team and your trusted contacts get the car's details and your location. Share your trip with someone you trust. Treat fellow riders and the driver with respect.
7D. Parcels at motor parks
- What it is. Parcels sent between towns by bus can be left with a PunditGo park agent. The agent records the parcel (with photos) and we send the person it is for an SMS with the park, the agent's number and a collection code.
- Collecting. Give the agent the code from your SMS. Whoever has the code can collect the parcel, so keep it to yourself; the agent may also check your name. The park's handling fee, if any, is shown in the SMS and paid to the agent.
- Delivery to your door. You can ask for the parcel to be delivered by a PunditGo rider, in the app or by asking the agent. You pay the delivery fare and the handling fee, on delivery or in the app; the usual delivery and handover-code rules apply.
- Sending to another state. You can send a parcel through PunditGo to a park in another town: a rider brings it to the park (or you drop it off), the park agent puts it on a bus, and the destination park's agent receives it and gives it to the recipient as above. You pay the route fee and the destination park's handling fee when you book; you can cancel for a full refund until the park has received it. Times on the road are estimates. The bus company carries it between the parks.
- Storage. Each park keeps parcels free for the number of days shown; after that the park may charge for storage or return the parcel to the sender or the bus.
- Responsibility. The bus or transport company is responsible for the parcel until it reaches the agent. From then, section 10 applies to what PunditGo, the agent and the rider do with it. Do not send prohibited items (section 5).
7E. Car wash bookings
- What it is. Car washes listed on PunditGo are independent businesses. You book a wash for a time they have free, and either bring the car yourself or, where the car wash offers it, have its own staff collect the car and bring it back for the fee shown.
- Codes. For pickup & return, give the staff member your pickup code only when you hand over the car. When you get the car back (at the car wash or at your door), check it first, then give your release code: giving it confirms you have the car back in the condition you accept. Keep both codes to yourself.
- Paying. In the app, the price is held from your wallet until you have the car back, then paid to the car wash. If the car wash takes cash, you pay them when you get the car back.
- Cancelling. You can cancel free of charge before the car wash accepts, and afterwards until the time shown in the app before your booking; after that, call the car wash. If the car wash declines, does not answer in time or cancels, an app payment is refunded in full to your wallet.
- Responsibility. The car wash is responsible for your car from when it takes the car (or when its staff collect it) until you give the release code. Remove valuables before handing over the car. Report damage or a problem through Help as soon as you notice it, with photos; section 10 explains how we help resolve it.
7F. Buy & sell
- What it is. Buy & sell lets people list items and sell them to each other. The seller, not PunditGo, sells the item and is responsible for it being theirs to sell, lawful, honestly described and in the condition shown. PunditGo is not the seller, does not inspect items and does not guarantee them, but runs Safe Pay and the dispute process below.
- Listings. Use your own real photos and a true description, price and condition. Do not list anything in the Community Guidelines' prohibited list, anything you do not own or may not sell, or the same item more than once. We check listings automatically (for example for contact details, duplicated photos, prices far below the usual, and prohibited items) and with staff, and may hide, hold for review or remove a listing, and limit sellers who break these rules. Three reports from different people hide a listing until we review it.
- Talk and call in the app only. Chat and call through PunditGo. Calls use masked numbers. To protect you from scams, we hide phone numbers, email addresses, account numbers, links and social handles in messages and listings, and we warn and may suspend people who keep trying to take a deal off the Platform. A buyer who pays outside PunditGo is not protected by Safe Pay.
- Safe Pay. When you buy through the app, the price (and any delivery fee) is taken from your wallet and held by PunditGo; the seller is not paid yet. For a meet-up, check the item, then give the seller your handover code: giving the code confirms you accept the item and the seller is paid. For delivery by a PunditGo rider, you have 24 hours after delivery (or the time shown in the app) to check the item and confirm it or report a problem; if you do neither, the seller is paid. The seller receives the price less PunditGo's commission shown to sellers in the app.
- Problems. If you report a problem in time, the money stays held while we look at the chat, photos, delivery record and both sides' accounts, and we decide whether to pay the seller or refund you. Our decision on where the held money goes does not take away your other legal rights against the seller. If a delivery fails or is cancelled, you are refunded.
- Never pay first. PunditGo will never ask you to pay a seller by bank transfer, gift card or any way other than in the app. Treat any such request as a scam and report it.
7G. Homes (renting and buying property)
- What it is. Homes lets owners, landlords, agents and developers ("listers") list property to rent or buy, and lets people looking for property ("seekers") find it, book inspections and pay through Safe Rent. PunditGo is not an estate agent, landlord or legal adviser, does not own the properties, and is not a party to the tenancy or sale. The tenancy or sale is between the seeker and the landlord or seller, and is governed by the law of the state where the property is (for example the state's tenancy law and the Land Use Act 1978).
- Listers must: be the owner, or have the owner's written authority to let or sell the property (agents must upload it to be verified); show every fee a tenant will pay before moving in (rent, agency, legal, caution and service charges); use real, current photos and the correct location; take a listing down once it is let or sold; follow the law on agency fees and on rent paid in advance in the property's state; and hold any registration that state requires of estate agents. Listing the same property under different names, asking for money to inspect, or listing a property you cannot let or sell is fraud: we remove it, may suspend the account and may report it to the police.
- Verified properties. A property shows "Verified" only after we have checked the lister's government ID and the documents uploaded (for example title papers and, for agents, the owner's authority), and our own staff have visited the property at its pin. Verification lowers risk; it is not a legal search of title, a survey or a guarantee. Before buying land or a building, carry out your own searches at the state land registry and take legal advice.
- Inspections are free. Book inspections in the app. Seekers see the exact location only once the lister confirms the inspection. Never pay anyone to inspect a property. At the property, the seeker gives the lister an attendance code to record that the inspection took place.
- Talk and call in the app only. Section 7F's rules on contact details and off-platform deals apply to Homes in the same way.
- Safe Rent and Safe Deposit. A seeker who has inspected the property, or whose chosen property is Verified, can pay the move-in total (for rent) or a deposit (for a sale) from their wallet into Safe Rent. PunditGo holds the money; the lister does not receive it yet. The lister must sign the summary agreement in the app within 48 hours, or the money is returned. Once both have signed, the tenant gives the lister their key code when they receive the keys and the property is as agreed, and the lister is paid. If the tenant gives no code and reports no problem, the lister is paid 5 days after the move-in date (or the time shown in the app). The lister receives the amount less PunditGo's commission (charged on rent and fees, not on the refundable caution deposit). The summary agreement records the main terms; the parties may also sign a fuller tenancy agreement, which must not contradict it.
- Problems. If the tenant reports a problem (for example the property is occupied, not as described, or the lister cannot hand over), the money stays held while we look at the evidence, and we decide whether to pay the lister or refund the tenant. Caution deposits returned at the end of a tenancy are between the landlord and tenant.
7H. Tickets
- What it is. Tickets lets approved event hosts sell tickets for the kinds of event PunditGo allows. The host organises the event and is responsible for it; PunditGo sells the tickets for the host and holds the money until after the event. Some kinds of event cannot be sold on PunditGo at all.
- Your tickets. Each ticket has its own QR code and door code, which works once. Do not share screenshots: whoever shows the code first is let in. Tickets are for personal use and may not be resold for profit.
- Refunds. Tickets are not refundable because you change your mind. If the host cancels the event, or we take it down, you are refunded in full to your wallet. If an event does not happen or is materially different from what was advertised, report it through Help within 24 hours after the advertised end time: the money is held until then, and we may refund you from it.
- At the event. Follow the host's and venue's rules and the law. The host and venue, not PunditGo, are responsible for safety, entry and what happens at the event.
7I. Farm inputs and selling produce
- Inputs. Agro-dealers on PunditGo sell their own seed, fertiliser and agro-chemicals and are responsible for them being genuine, registered and correctly labelled. Follow the dose and safety instructions on the pack.
- Selling produce (pools). A buyer pays the full value of a pool into PunditGo before you pledge. Pledge only what you can deliver. At the collection point the buyer's staff check your bags against the quality and moisture published in the pool and record what they accept; you are paid the price shown for every accepted bag into your PunditGo earnings straight away. The buyer may reject bags that do not meet the published quality and must say why. If you disagree, report it through Help within 48 hours. PunditGo does not grade, weigh or store produce.
7J. Livestock
- Livestock is sold on Buy & sell and section 7F applies. Describe animals honestly (species, sex, age, weight and health). Do not sell sick animals, stolen animals or animals you do not have the right to sell, and follow state rules on animal movement and markets.
- Vet checks. A seller may book a registered vet to check an animal. The fee is held until the vet files the report. A vet check describes the animal on the day it was checked and shows on the listing for the period stated in the app; it is the vet's professional opinion, not a guarantee by PunditGo. Buyers should still see the animal before paying where they can.
7K. Health (clinics, laboratories and phone consultations)
- PunditGo is not a hospital or a doctor. Clinics and laboratories on PunditGo are independent, licensed providers responsible for the care, tests, results and advice they give. In an emergency go to the nearest hospital or call 112.
- Booking and paying. You pay when you book; the money is held until you check in with your code (or, for a phone consultation, until the clinic marks it done), then paid to the clinic. You can cancel for a full refund up to 2 hours before (or the time shown in the app). If the clinic cancels, you are refunded in full. If you do not come and do not cancel in time, the clinic may keep the fee.
- Your health information. What you tell the clinic and the results it uploads are visible only to you and that clinic's staff (see the Privacy Policy). Only book for someone else with their permission or as their parent or guardian.
7L. School and Islamiyya fees
- Schools set their own fees and are responsible for them. Fees you pay go to the school's account and you get a receipt in the app. Check the school, the student and the term before paying: refunds of fees paid in error are made by the school, from its PunditGo balance. Anyone with a student's admission number can pay for that student; only the student's first name and class are shown to them.
7M. Artisans
- Artisans on PunditGo are independent tradespeople; they, not PunditGo, are responsible for their work, materials and safety. We check their ID before approving them.
- When you accept a quote, the amount is held by PunditGo. Give the artisan your completion code only when the work is done and you are satisfied: giving it releases the money. If the artisan marks the job done and you neither confirm nor report a problem within 48 hours (or the time shown), the money is released. If you report a problem in time, the money stays held while we look at the evidence and decide whether to pay the artisan, refund you or split it. Agree any extra work or materials in the app before it is done.
7N. Gas and water
- Gas and water vendors are responsible for the safety, weight and quality of what they sell (cooking gas vendors must be licensed). Check the seal and weight of a filled cylinder before you accept it. If you choose "refill my cylinder", a rider collects your empty cylinder and takes it to the vendor, and the filled cylinder is delivered when the vendor marks it ready; you pay for both trips. The vendor is responsible for your cylinder while they have it. Never store or use a cylinder that smells of gas: report it at once.
7O. Zakat and giving
- Charities, mosques and community groups on PunditGo are checked by us before they can raise money, but they, not PunditGo, decide how the money is used and are responsible for using it as described. Donations go to the charity's PunditGo balance; every withdrawal states its purpose, is checked by our staff before it is paid, and is shown on the campaign.
- Zakat. Giving Zakat through a campaign that accepts Zakat is your instruction to that charity to pass it to eligible recipients as it describes; PunditGo takes no fee on Zakat. The Zakat calculator is a guide only; ask a scholar about your own circumstances.
- Donations are not refundable, except where we remove a campaign that is false or misused, when we refund donors from what the charity still holds. PunditGo does not issue tax receipts unless the law and the charity's status allow it.
7P. Solar on instalments (pay-as-you-go)
- Solar vendors on PunditGo sell, install and guarantee their own systems. The plan shows the cash price, the deposit, each instalment, how often you pay, the number of instalments, the total you will pay and the warranty before you accept it.
- Your deposit is held until the system is installed and you give the installer your install code. After that, instalments are taken from your wallet on each due date if you have switched on automatic payment, or you pay them in the app. You may pay off early at any time with no extra charge.
- If an instalment is more than the number of days late shown in the plan, the vendor may switch the system off until you catch up, after reminders; it must switch it back on promptly when you pay. The system becomes yours when the last instalment is paid. You may not sell or move the system to someone else before then without the vendor's agreement.
- You need a verified ID to take a solar plan. Your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 are not affected.
7Q. Buying from a shop that uses PunditGo (table orders, receipts and deliveries)
- Who you buy from. When you order by scanning the QR code at a shop's table or counter, or a shop records your purchase and texts you a receipt, you are buying from that shop. The shop is responsible for the goods, the prices on its menu and any refund. You pay the shop (cash, transfer or card), not PunditGo. You do not need a PunditGo account.
- Table orders. Your order is a request until the shop accepts it. You can cancel it in the page until the kitchen starts it; after that, ask the staff.
- Deliveries a shop books for you. A PunditGo rider brings the order to the address the shop gives us. Pay the rider only the delivery price in your SMS (if any), and give your delivery code only when you have your order. Sections 7 and 10 apply to the delivery.
- Your details. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and the messages we send you about the purchase.
7R. Waste collection
- Waste collection companies on PunditGo are independent and checked by us. Each company publishes the areas it covers, its collection days and hours and its monthly plans; you choose one and pay monthly from your wallet, for one or more months at a time. If you switch on automatic renewal, the next month is taken from your wallet when your paid period ends.
- We remind you the evening before each collection and tell you when the company marks your pickup collected or missed. Put your refuse out in the collection hours, in the bins or bags the company asks for. If your waste was not collected, report it in the app within 3 days; the company is told at once and its on-time record is shown to other residents.
- If your plan runs out, the company keeps collecting for the grace period shown in the app while you pay; after that, collections stop until you pay again. A new price applies only from your next renewal, and we tell you before it does.
- Extra pickups are paid when you book them and held by PunditGo until the company collects; you get the money back if the company declines, misses or does not answer, or if you cancel before the truck is on its way. If you stop your plan, months already paid are not refunded.
7S. Water tankers
- Water suppliers on PunditGo are independent businesses checked by us, who must keep a current water quality test. Each offer shows the tanker size, the price delivered and where the water comes from. You book a day and time slot once, or a repeat order the supplier accepts.
- A one-off delivery is paid when you book and held by PunditGo. A repeat order is paid from your wallet the evening before each delivery; if your wallet is short we tell you, and the delivery is skipped unless you pay before its day. Give the driver your delivery code only when the water is in your tank: the code tells us to pay the supplier.
- You can cancel for a full refund until the tanker is on its way, and pause or stop a repeat order at any time. If the supplier declines, cannot deliver or does not confirm the delivery with your code by the end of the next day, you are refunded automatically. If the water looks or smells unsafe, do not use it and report it at once.
- Borehole drilling and pump repair are booked through Artisans (section 7M).
7T. Tractor and farm machinery hire
- Machine owners on PunditGo are independent businesses checked by us. Each machine shows the work it does, the rate per hectare, hour or bag, the smallest job, and any fee to bring it to your farm. You book an amount of work for a date window; the owner accepts with a day or declines.
- The full amount is held by PunditGo when you book. When the work is done, check it and give the operator your completion code. If less work was done than you booked, you pay only for what was done (plus the move fee) and the rest comes back to your wallet. If you do nothing within 48 hours of the owner marking the job done, the owner is paid for the work recorded.
- You can cancel free until the owner accepts, and until 24 hours before the agreed day; after that the move fee goes to the owner. If the owner declines, does not answer before your window ends, or does not start within a week of the agreed day, you are refunded in full.
- If the work was not done properly, report it in the app before you confirm: payment is held and PunditGo decides, after hearing both sides, how much goes to each. Point out boundaries, stumps, pipes and hazards to the operator before work starts. Your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 are not affected.
8. Ratings, reviews and content
You may rate and review jobs. Keep reviews honest, relevant and lawful. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and moderate content you submit on the Platform. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
9. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can close your account at any time from the app or by contacting support. Amounts owed either way remain payable.
- We may limit, suspend or close an account to protect people or the Platform, for example for suspected fraud, safety concerns, serious or repeated breaches of these terms, unpaid amounts, or when the law requires it. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You can ask for a human review of any automated restriction.
10. Our responsibility to you
- We will provide the Platform with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will always be available or error-free, especially when networks, power or third-party services fail.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
- Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses (such as lost profit) of customers using the Platform for personal purposes, or for the acts of Providers, Merchants or other users that we did not cause or could not reasonably prevent. Our total liability to you for any one job is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that job and the amount stated in section 7 for items, unless the law requires more.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as unrest, curfews, strikes, floods, fuel scarcity, network or power outages, or government action.
11. Your responsibility to us
If you break these terms or the law and that causes a loss to PunditGo, a Provider, a Merchant or another user, you are responsible for that loss to the extent the law allows, including reasonable costs of dealing with claims.
12. Complaints and disputes
- Support first. Open a dispute or support ticket in the app, or contact pundittechnology@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 2 working days and to resolve most issues within 14 days. We look at the job record (GPS, codes, timestamps, photos, messages and, where enabled, call recordings).
- Mediation. If you are not satisfied, either side may ask for mediation under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
- Arbitration. If mediation fails within 30 days, the dispute will be settled by arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 by a sole arbitrator, seated in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, in English.
- Your rights are kept. This does not stop you from complaining to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or another regulator, from using a small claims court where available, or from seeking urgent relief from a court.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Platform, the law or our business. For material changes we will tell you in the app (and by SMS or email where appropriate) at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is required sooner by law or for safety. If you keep using the Platform after that date you accept the new terms; you will be asked to accept them again in the app. If you don't agree, you can close your account.
14. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over the Platform, if your rights are not reduced.
- Notices to us: pundittechnology@gmail.com, No. 9A Drive 6, Prince and Prince Estate, Apo, FCT Abuja, Nigeria. Notices to you: in the app, by SMS or to the email you gave us.
- If we provide these terms in another language, the English version applies if there is a difference.
